Building a trusting relationship with your wounded inner child
Your inner child is your sacred center, your engine. Basically it is your autonomic nervous system sprawled all over your body, it remembers every moment of your life.
Your whole body and eyes feel tired, inner child feels tired, your brain and overcompensating self tells you to reach for another coffee instead of resting, that act, breaks the trust and pushes you two further apart.
It is almost like there is a silent civil war inside of you.
Take time every day to pay attention to your body, what do you need? truly. Nurture your body, with warm foods, gentle yoga, or a spin class, whatever it tells you it needs. Maybe a belly dance class.
Building a trusting relationship takes time with gentle small loving actions. So make small promises to your inner child after you listen, and try not to break them.
Then sit back and reap the rewards.
Rewards made of a new level of aliveness, openness, and connectedness.
